First CEO Briefing in Paris


On 13 May 2009, CEO’s and high-level representatives from Germany, Finland, France, the Netherlands, Norway and the US met in the French capital to participate in an exclusive demonstration of the buildingSMART Aquarium concept which helps businesses to quickly identify practical solutions and business opportunities through better digital collaboration. Patrick MacLeamy, CEO of HOK and Chairman of buildingSMART International and Lars Chr Christensen, Senior Aquarium Facilitator, introduced the buildingSMART Aquarium which is basically a problem-solving process involving problem owners, software developers and standard experts.  For the problem owners, Catherine Chan and Mario Guttman, both from HOK, made a live demonstration of the HOK Aquarium that aimed at improving room data logistics. Rolf Jerving, CEO of NOSYKO had participated as a software solution provider in the Aquarium and shared his views on the process. The briefing session also provided room for questions and discussion among the participants. Due to the success of this first CEO Briefing, a second CEO Briefing is envisaged to take place in December, in Washington.
