The International Council had their 25 th meeting in Washington DC 9-10th December 2009. Chair Patrick MacLeamy dedicated the meeting to the memory of Jeff Wix.
The focus of the meeting was to make the necessary decisions so that the ExCom may continue efforts to develop buildingSMART International to an organisation which can live up to the expectations from the members and the environment.
The Council decided a new document that describes the organization's vision, mission and goals, and the benefits that government and industry can achieve by using the organization's products and services. The document also describes more accurately what the organization's deliveries will be in the future.
